Welcome to my personal web site. Get ready to learn more than you ever wanted to know about me!

I was born in Webster, Texas, USA in 1977. I grew up in Friendswood, Texas, USA, and attended Friendswood High School. After graduating from Rice University (BS degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering) in 1999, I moved to the Seattle area to work as a software developer for Microsoft. I met my future wife, Leslie Chen, while working at Microsoft, and we married in June 2006 at Thornewood Castle just outside Tacoma, WA. Leslie and I now live in a house in Sammamish, Washington, USA. We have no pets, no children, and we both work full-time at Microsoft.

At Microsoft, I worked in the financial products group (on Microsoft Money and MSN Money) for nine years. In 2008 I switched over to the Windows product team, in the "WEX Core UX" (Windows EXperience, Core Use eXperience) group, helping to develop the "jumplists" and Start menu for Windows 7.

Outside of work, I'm really into music. I play bass guitar in my own rock band called The Morans, and we recently had one of our live performances used in the movie "Duplicity" (Clive Owen, Julia Roberts). I also really enjoy video games (especially my Xbox360) and watching movies and TV shows (favorites: LOST and The Sarah Connor Chronicles), listening to music, going to an occassional concert, and just hanging out with my wife and her family.

My Meyers-Briggs personality type is very strongly ISTJ.
